My name is Jay Jaster and I am a Mixed Media & Texture Artist, specializing in Plaster, Glass and Epoxy. I was born and raised in and around Detroit, Michigan. I am also the Founder and Creative Director of Renegade Creations LLC.

My work is labeled as contemporary, with hints of abstraction and surrealism. Fueled by inspirational figures, powerful dancers and people in everyday life, I attempt to visualize the gap between what we see, and what we feel, using any medium available. Whether I’m using Plaster, Glass, 3D Objects or good old fashioned Paint, my goal is to never stop trying to find new ways to excite and inspire my audience. It’s my lifelong love of psychology, nature, as well as a hint of rebelliousness, that gives my work a very cerebral effect. Using vivid colors, reflective elements and multi-layered backgrounds, I aim to give the viewer an experience that will last as long as the artwork does.
