What does it take to “make it” in this world? What are the terms, qualities or ideals that we should strive for? What does your own version of “success” look like?

I created this piece to answer some of those questions for myself. What terms do I hold dearly? How did I get this far?

Was it Luck or was it Instinct?

Am I Courageous or am I just blindly Positive? Is having a twisted Sense of Humor what keeps us all from spiraling?

To express these things, I chose the form of a Sandcastle/Pyramid/Jenga Tower, because I wanted to show that no matter how solid your foundation, no matter how many things or boxes you’ve stacked up along the way, it could all come down tomorrow.

What happens then? Are these things within you? Or are they simply material? And most importantly, if everything DID come tumbling down tomorrow.. do you possess the dark sense of humor and fortitude to build it all over again??..
