The idea of this piece was to try and illustrate what it's like to step inside my brain. It's so crowded that it can feel like a whole vibrant city, filled with lights, music and non stop distraction. Each character represents something I've struggled with in the past.
-Lazy Boy= The internal desire to sit and escape into tv, movies & comedy
-Text Bubble= Negative thoughts or the opinions of others
-Mirror= Self reflection, even to the point of OVER analyzing
-Straight Jacket= The insane thoughts that run wild
-Megaphone= Feeling the need to chant or preach to others, while never taking my own advice
-Pole Dancer= Sexual distractions/Lust
All coming together to form one big, maddening metropolis, all living "rent free" off of me and my well being.
